Charming Charlies

This is a new accessory store at San Tan mall. They have some cute items and I like how the store is organized by color. The other day I saw these boots for sale in there. They are similar to galloshes(plastic/rubber) but with a cowboy flair.

New contacts

I went to the eye doctor tonight to get a prescription for new contacts. It had been over a year and a half since my last visit. I was almost out of disposable contacts and could not order more without seeing the dr. His office asst wrote down my old prescription for him to start with, unfortunately he thought it was a 7 when it should have been a 9. The left eye could not see anything, not good. I knew my vision had got worse but this was crazy, exerything was blurry. He realized what had happened and all was good. I should get my new contacts in a week or so. Sign at Costco allowing only HIPAA personnel behind the counter:)

Saturday at the Fairmont

Hung out by the pool for the day for Kyra's 7th birthday. The girls had lots of fun. The hotel has 3 pools, 2 water slides and a big screen in the evening for the dive in movie which was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Tour of the Helipad

Thanks to Dora I had a tour of the St Joseph's Hospital helipad today. The landing pad can hold up to 3 helicopters, the center holds the most weight at 12,000 lbs. If you look at the pisture that has "South" on the cement there is a catwalk that leads to the building, please note part of the walkway has no siderail. Yes...I am scared of heights and no I did not go close to the edge of the building. Special thanks to Gabe who took us up there.

Which sign is correct?

The street in front of my office is Central Avenue. Yesterday I noticed the street signs. On one side of the street is Central 00 and on the opposite side is Central 000. How does this make one side even and one side odd? Zero is zero.

$2 Tank tops

Old Navy opened at 7am this morning. They had a sale on tank tops that are regular $8.50 on sale for $2. I arrived at 6:45am, there were probably 20-25 people ahead of me in line. A few minutes later one of the employees came outside and told everyone they would be opening at 7 and there was a limit of 5 tanks per person. Darn, I was hoping to get a few more. Flip flops were also $2 but not as great a deal since they are only $3.50 regular price. They also gave everyone a coupon if you spend $25 or more get $5 off until 11am. I ended up with 5 tank tops, 4 pair of flip flops and 2 Snoopy t shirts all for $30 :)

New BFF

At Baja Fresh you may find your new BFF or at least they would like you to try their new burrito. The marketing did not work for me, I stuck to my same order, 2 chicken tacos with corn tortillas, hot, rice and pinto beans. The new spicy pineapple salsa is good!

Incredible Envy

I want the new Incredible. I have spent the last hour looking at the Verizon website and trying to decide if I should buy it today. I would have to get a new calling plan because mine is no longer available. With the new plan, insurance on the phone, email and web for a smart phone the total cost is around $82, I pay over a hundred a month for my current plan. Hmmmm...

What is he doing?

Monday about 5:30am Spot went outside and starting going crazy. He was barking and jumping up on the side of the house. I reluctantly got up and went out to the backyard. There was a cat on the roof and he was trying to get it. Stupid cats!
