Phone call from 000-000-0000

This morning on the radio show I usually listen to one of the guys had received a voicemail on his cell phone from phone number 000-000-0000. Here is the link to listen to the conversation:

They are discussing how this voicemail from 2006 can pop in as a new voicemail. It is from one of the guys dad that passed away in 2007. The guys are discussing how they think any call from the 000 number is from the "other side". Have you ever received a phone call from a 000-000-0000 number?

It is people who call through the internet, which is usually bill collectors, autodialers, or a secret admirer wishing to stay unknown.

In the JohnJay and Rich story, I think a friend is playing a trick on him.

If my friend leaves a voicemail when he is using Skype it always says "you have a new voicemail from 123456789".
