This is all over the news this morning. Charles Barkley was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving early Wednesday morning in Scottsdale.
Please be safe this New Year's! Don't drink and drive.

Wii Fit
My niece and nephew got a Wii for Christmas. They also received the following games: Mario race cars, Sing It, Star Wars Lego and a Wii Fit. The Wii fit was so much fun and I am certainly out of shape because the next day all my muscles were aching from playing. Here are a few of the pics, my favorite was skiing!

Let's Open presents
Friday night I went to Sandi's to take the kids their Christmas presents. Adrian went to the movies with Tata and was going to spend the night there so he did not get to open his yet. Jordan was so excited, he got a big bag of Lego's(which we built castles and horses with all night) and a new pair of Mammoth crocs. Jordan even got to open Jacob's presents and then wanted to open all the presents under the tree. He kept handing them to me to see who they were for.

Kim and Sydney at Stat's
In November when I was in Pasadena Kim and Sydney took me to Stat's. This is the biggest Christmas store I have ever been in. The store has multiple rooms, some are set up with miniature models of villages and the others have multiple Christmas displays including upside-down trees. It was awesome!

Weeweechu
It's a romantic full moon, when Pedro said, "Hey, mamacita, let's do Weeweechu.
"Oh no, not now, let's look at the moon!" said Rosita.
"Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I do Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time," Pedro begged.
"But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon." replied Rosita.
"Please, corazoncito, just once, do Weeweechu with me." Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK, one time, we'll do Weeweechu."
Pedro grabbed his guitar and they both sang.....
"Weeweechu a Merry Christmas,
Weeweechu a Merry Christmas,
Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Meeting Patrick
I have been friends with Sandi for over 11 years. She is very competitive and always has to be the best. Her cousin brings her boyfriend over for Thanksgiving dinner, this would be Patrick. As I am being introduced to him, he procedes to tell me he knows me from MicroAge. I really do not remember him at all, he said he used to have long hair, I can kind of picture it but still not so much. The part that is the best is he does not remember Sandi at all, only me, even though we both were on the same account. She is annoyed by this and walks away.

Deep Frying a Turkey
This is the first time Ruben had deep fried a turkey. It came out great, tastes like fried chicken. Here are a few pics of the guys, the turkey, and the carving of one of the turkeys. It would not be Thanksgiving if Ethel and Toni did not start a fire with the marshmellows on top of the sweet potatoes, I did not get a picture of this since we were too busy laughing at them as they tried to pull the pan(while still on fire) out of the oven.

Turkey Crafts for kids
This is a cute idea.
CRAFT MATERIALS:
Hot glue
Glue gun
1 1/4-inch wooden doll head (available at craft stores)
Small glass bubble votive holder (ours is 4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches high)
Brush
Mod Podge
Tissue paper
Scissors
Tacky glue
Beads
Time needed: About 2 to 3 Hours
1. Apply a dab of hot glue from a glue gun to the wooden doll head. Then adhere the head to the votive holder.
2. Brush Mod Podge over the head and body, then cover them with overlapping tissue paper scraps. Apply another Mod Podge layer and let it dry for at least 45 minutes.
3. To make the tail feathers, cut 9- by 2-inch strips of tissue paper, bend each in half without creasing it, then twist the ends together. Use a dollop of tacky glue to attach each feather to the body.
4. Cut a beak from a double layer of yellow tissue and affix it with tacky glue. Add two beads for eyes. Cut a long oval of red tissue, twist one end, and affix it as a wattle. Allow the turkey to dry.

How does this work?
I sent the link for my blog to several friends and family members so they could check it out. Here are a few of the responses I received:
My sister Kimberly: "What am I supposed to do with this? I will have to have Hollie help me."
Jadie: "i dont get it. cant get it to work"
The sad thing is Jadie used to work for an IT company. I explained to my sister you can post a comment on the blog when you would like to contribute something. Hopefully everyone can figure it out sooner or later.

Pasadena in a Day
Thank you Kim, David and Sydney!
I enjoyed seeing you and had a wonderful time. Kim is a great tour guide. The day started out with breakfast at her favorite place, shopping in downtown Pasadena, a tour of her office, Starbucks with Becca, Elizabeth and Rachel then on to the spa and ended with a delicious sushi dinner.

Hotel Thomas and Welcome
Welcome to my blog! In order to stay at Hotel Thomas I was forced to finally create my own blog. I was given the rules and agreed to abide my them.
P. S. I do not have a car and have never been to Pasadena before so walking to find a hotel was not an option.
