Ocean beach

Cool little beach town, cloudy most of the day and got a little color lounging on the beach! No one but Blas changed to their swimsuits even though we brought them.

Hodads

Mint ice cream

Have you been to Sub zero? Kinda cool how they make the ice cream or yogurt right in front of you. It is made with liquid nitrogen I think and all the ingredients are mixed together in a big bowl and then they scoop out your flavor.

Monday night dinner at Vigilucci's

We all wanted some yummy seafood and the hotel recommended this restaurant. I should have got my first choice the half lobster but went with lobster ravioli instead. It was good but not what I expected, cream sauce was really rich. Kim and Madison had the worst seats directly in the sun. I offered to switch they said no and continued to complain. Great view across from the ocean!

New boot

Isn't this cute? Had to get the boot since I have never seen this cork holder. Found it in Carlsbad ca at Witch brewing company. It came with four different color ribbons for the lace.

First time I have seen a tv in a gas pump. Also in Carlsbad, gas was $3.99 for regular unleaded.

Ornament Premiere

Yesterday Hallmark released the 2013 keepsake ornaments. I bought two for myself and one for my sister. This is the first year Peanuts is putting out a different ornament every month with a seasonal theme. Got my first one yesterday along with the display. Other cute snoopy things were the new figurines.

One of my college friends

Super excited I got to spend some time with Leticia and her family tonight. I have not seen her for probably 8 years. They were visiting family before heading back home tomorrow and I met up with them and then we went to enjoy some Bahama Bucks shave ice:) her kids are so cute. I have known her over 22 years.

Sunday fun

I went to see Despicable Me 2 at Tempe marketplace today. Such a cute movie:) The misters are a little out of control as you can see. Afterward did a little shopping, found both vests; one for me and one for Hollie super cheap along with a few other things.

Saturday project

I have been wanting to replace the light fixture in my bathroom since I moved in but never did. I was kinda scared to try electrical work. My poor medicine cabinet mirror fell off one day after I decided I didn't like the gold trim so I took it off. Replaced with the  6 square mirrors that did not look good at all but have kept this way for quite a while. Today I decided I am replacing both items. Went to Lowe's and found the light fixture on clearance for $24 regular price $89, got to the register and it turned out to be $12:) medicine cabinet was regular price. Light fixture was display so no box or instructions, guy there told me it was easy to do and how to install new light. I am pretty impressed and happy with the results. Had to run to home depot and buy some touch up paint where the old light was, hopefully when it dries it matches ok.

Two movie review

Thursday afternoon I decided to go see Heat. Got there with about 15-20 minutes to wait before the show started. A little bit later in walks Jane and REM, this is how I got my photo in the theater:) The movie was ok, I was hoping for better. I noticed one scene in a preview was not even the same scene used in the movie. Today I went to another movie at a smaller theater to see White House Down. Lots of action and definitely enjoyed this movie better. Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum were both good and easy on the eyes. Thanks for the recommendation.
