The Kingdom

Yesterday was the third sermon on "The Kingdom". I really enjoy the two lead pastors taking turns to present the messages from the Bible. Chad spoke about the Kingdom of God is not just a destination that I go after I die, but a relationship with God made available to me while I live. The church is not a building you go to but a gathering of people who speak about the teaching of Jesus. You are the church. I like the examples provided in each sermon for example if you are fighting with your spouse(example given)instead of continuing to argue with one another how about stop and pray. Jesus does not take sides he takes over. Romans 12:21 "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good". Other words of wisdom: Proclaimation leads to demonstration and Right creeds always lead to right deeds.

Bad sign

5 lanes of traffic blocked and only 5 lanes of traffic on this freeway. 1 hr and 35 minutes later I made it home and did not see an accident anywhere.

Pretty shoes

Yesterday I went to two different dsw's looking for shoes. No style in particular but wanted to see what they had since I had a $20 off coupon that was expiring. I found nothing I wanted but saw these pretty kelly green heels.

Wine for Charity

I had a great time tonight at the tasting event. A portion of the wine purchased will go to help the tornado victims in Oklahoma. The company is called wines for humanity if you are interested in hosting a party. For every bottle purchased $$$ goes to help the homeless. It was so nice to see some friends I had not seen in a long time!
