Scary fish

I went to get my oil changed and a car wash. While waiting inside there was an aquarium with several small fish swimming around leisurely and one huge fish. The big fish would swim to the top corner of one side quickly go the the bottom corner of the opposite side and continue around in the square aquarium never stopping. I wonder if the small fish were annoyed with him. He was scary looking and seemed anxious since he could not find whatever he might have been searching for.

New laws to take effect this week

Here are a few of the laws that were passed to take effect on Wednesday.

Senate Bill 1113 - Concealed weapons permit holders may carry concealed handguns into bars and restaurants.

Senate Bill 1175 - Bans non-physicians from performing surgical abortions.

Senate Bill 1088 - Expands definition of domestic violence to include acts where there is or was a romantic or sexual relationship between the victim and the accused.

House Bill 2222 - Creates new types of special license plates.

Talk about pampering yourself...

A couple came in to get a pedicure. I was almost done with my pedi and went to put my toes under the light for a few minutes. I walked past this couple who were just seated and they were each eating a pint of Ben and Jerry's, she also had a chocolate milk to wash it down.

P.S. KAB is on the end by the wall getting a flower she did not ask for but paid $5 extra for.

Aggies Win!

I would have loved to have seen this game. NMSU Aggies and UNM Lobos are big rivals in New Mexico, my brother in law and I went to NMSU in Las Cruces and my sister went to UNM in Albuquerque.

It's my sister's birthday and all she wants is a cake from the ABC bakery. Hopefully her husband will get one for her:)

First day of Autumn

One of my sister's students gave her an apple today. The little girl said it was for the first day of Autumn, my sister responded "Thank you, when is that?"

Go Prowler's

Adrian(my friend Sandi's son) plays travel ball for the Prowler's. Today they were playing in a tournament at Field of Dreams in Gilbert. They won the first game and were playing another one when I left. It is still pretty hot out so Jacob and I sat inside for 2 innings while Jordan made new friends on the playground. He later came in later and had a red icee.

Cougar Cruise

I heard about this cruise on the news last night. Carnival is testing this to see what the market is. The cruise is to set sail from San Diego sometime in December, prices range from $150-450 depending on the type of room you choose. What will they think of next?

Mail

I received a DVD in the mail today. I am excited because I have never seen this movie before. It is Snoopy Reunion. Can't wait to watch it!

How cold is it?

It is so cold KAB has to sit on the floor by my space heater to warm up at the office.

UGG boots

I bought my first pair of UGG boots yesterday! Yes, it is still 100 + plus here. I got a great deal on them...70% off. I love that they have a heel.

Coconut M & M's

While standing in the checkout line at Wal-mart, I see a new type of M & M's. I like coconut so I decide to try them. The individual candy is slightly bigger than the plain but not as big as the peanut. I had a few and they are ok but the aftertaste reminds me of what suntan oil might taste like.

Jibbits

Jordan got new Crocs today, the hardest part was picking out what accessories to get to go on them. He wanted Transformers (didn't have them), I wanted him to get Count Snoopy (didn't want this) he ended up with Kung Fu Panda and Wali. Tough decisions while little brother waits patiently.

A week ahead of everyone

While a lot of people are going to the beach for Labor Day weekend I went last weekend. It was awesome! Nothing better than sitting on the beach, listening to the waves and relaxing.
