The Story of your Life

Matthew West has a new cd coming out Tuesday, October 5th. He wrote the songs for the cd based on 10,000 stories that people all over the US and 20 different countries sent to him. I heard the latest song One Less this morning on my way to the office. The people who inspired the story were on the radio with him. It is about a lady who wanted a little girl, God told her the little girl was about 4 years old halfway around the world. Her church went to Guatamala twice a year to volunteer. One of the church members told the husband and wife they found their little girl here. The song tells how we can make a difference by helping one person at a time and how it is so overwhelming to sometimes try and help everyone. Start with one and go from there.

What a 13 yr old boy downloads to a phone

Saturday Adrian was bored after a few hours at his uncle's 70th birthday party so he asked to play with my phone. I deleted most of the apps he dowloaded but kept a few that were entertaining. I now have Ghost Rader classic, Guns and Roses ringtones, Linkin Park ringtones, Sniper shot and the Hangover Soundboard. Ghost Radar is kinda cool, it is supposed to detect "energy" within the area, I have not tried this one at home. Sniper shot is funny, you find a target shoot and then end up with the image and a bullet hole. I deleted various shooting games and gun noises. Boys...

Don't do it

I went to see The American last night. Great company, bad movie. I thought it was very slow and had a strange ending. How many guys do you know of that get a tattoo of a butterfly, especially in the center of their back?

American Idol announced Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are going to replace Simon and Ellen.

Let me start by saying it is 110 in Phoenix today. Definitely not the time to shop for fall/winter. I was looking at Big Lots today and they have Halloween, fall and Christmas items for sale.

Nice Surprise

At the end of the day yesterday RAP stopped by my desk. He said "Is that a picture of Elvis?" I was supposed to turn around and look the other way but I had heard him telling Lenore the same thing a minute ago. Since I did not turn around he put this on my desk anyway:) He is so sweet!

"The Healing Field"

To honor all those who died on September 11, 2001, 3000 flags are on display at Tempe Beach Park. This year over 75 pairs of boots are being displayed for the veterans. Attached to each flag is a card with the name of the person who gave their life, where they were at the time and a brief tribute to the person.

Very good boy

Spot went to the vet this morning for his shots. He needed to get them in order to be registered. His report card states he was very good. He also needs his teeth cleaned, this will have to wait.

Eighteen Years

I miss my dad. I can see him playing ball with Barney, our golden retriever, in the backyard:) Thankful he saw me graduate from college and wish my niece and nephew could have known him.

I went into Michael's today to buy some magnets. I found some great Snoopy items! I did not buy any but was tempted...next time I want to paint I know where to go.

Finally got a hair cut

My new do:

Sandi usually cuts my hair, the last couple of times I have been at her house there was no time for a hair cut. This is the first time I have been to a salon in years. I went to Toni and Guy at Chandler Mall and Monica cut my hair. I like it, it is super straight since she did not use a lot of product. The stylist also gave me the card of her tattoo artist, he does great work.

I want to go to Sweet Republic and try their ice cream and/or sorberts. They were featured tonight on Arizona Highways tv. Looks delicious! I want to try the mint, and pomegranite blueberry sorbet. Who wants to go? Other flavors include Bacon, avacado, mango and blue cheese.
