I have been watching DIY(Do It Yourself)Network and HGTV most of the afternoon. I have not seen this program or Bathtastic but would gladly invite either host over to help with a renovation:) just saw the previews for both shows.

What is your love language?
On the radio this morning the dj's were talking about what is your love language. I went to the KLOVE web site and they have a link to take a 30 second quiz or you may choose to do a personal profile which takes 10-15 minutes.

Quality Time
In the vernacular of Quality Time, nothing says, “I love you,” like full, undivided attention. Being there for this type of person is critical, but really being there–with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chores and tasks on standby–makes your significant other feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed dates, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful.
Words of Affirmation
Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important–hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.
Receiving Gifts
Don’t mistake this love language for materialism; the receiver of gifts thrives on the love, thoughtfulness, and effort behind the gift. If you speak this language, the perfect gift or gesture shows that you are known, you are cared for, and you are prized above whatever was sacrificed to bring the gift to you. A missed birthday, anniversary, or a hasty, thoughtless gift would be disastrous–so would the absence of everyday gestures.
Acts of Service
Can vacuuming the floors really be an expression of love? Absolutely! Anything you do to ease the burden of responsibilities weighing on an “Acts of Service” person will speak volumes. The words he or she most want to hear: “Let me do that for you.” Laziness, broken commitments, and making more work for them tell speakers of this language their feelings don’t matter.
Physical Touch
This language isn’t all about the bedroom. A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, holding hands, and thoughtful touches on the arm, shoulder, or face–they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive.
Which one is yours? Of course they can also overlap.

Golf anyone?
The Waste Management Phoenix Open starts today. I have never been to the Open but would like to go sometime. They usually have good entertainment lined up at the Bird's Nest and the 16th Hole is a great place to watch the game I have heard. This year the Saturday night band is going to be OAR, last year Zowie Bowie was the top entertainer.

Did anyone see Undercover Boss? Waste Management was the first company that appeared on the show.

Dance off
Jordan challenged his dad to a dance off. It was hilarious, I wish I had a video of both of them. He is quite the little entertainer at 4. Jordan learns all his moves from his older brother and then throws in some of his own:)
Also enjoyed a great meal of green chili, beans, rice and homemade salsa courtesy of Sandi's mom.

One of my favorite commericals was for Dorito's; Dog gets Revenge and Play Nice. They are both pretty funny.

On Demand
I love this feature you get with Cox cable. It is kind of like Tivo but you are able to watch up to the last four weeks of a certain tv show. Tonight I am watching Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice which I missed last night.

The Storm
They were together in the House.
Just the two of them.
It was a cold, dark, stormy night. The storm had come quickly
and each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump.

and each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump.
She looked across the room and admired his strong appearance...and
wished that he would take her in his arms, comfort her and protect her
from the storm.
Suddenly, with a flash, the power went out... She screamed...
He raced to the sofa where she was cowering.
He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms.
He knew this was a forbidden union and
expected her to pull back.
He was surprised when she didn't resist but instead clung to him.
The storm raged on...
They knew it was wrong...
Their families would never understand... So consumed were
they in their FEAR that they heard no opening
of doors...just the faint click of a camera.......

My sister is on Facebook...
and she likes it! Well I did set up the account for her when I was there for Christmas. I also requested a few friends to get her started. My niece helped her load some pictures this weekend and now she is excited to begin using it. This is a big step for her. How happy am I!?
